Arkansas has been named the most pro-life state in America for the seventh consecutive year by Americans United for Life, with Louisiana ranking second. Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill received Americans United for Life's “Defender of Life” award for her legal efforts against abortion shield laws and defending pro-life state laws.

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill joined Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin and 16 other states in filing an amicus brief supporting South Dakota's law restricting the advertising and distribution of abortion pills.
